When I think about what I can do to make a difference in this ‘me too’ plight, I am reminded of the many possibilities to make change in society. It is not easy but it can be done. I’ve been working on it in one way or another for several decades. That’s why I know it is not an easy task.

One of the most important things I am doing is having the courage to tell my full story. Over the years I have told bits and pieces. One year I actually told the full story then gave it second thought when my story was received as unbelievable because it is so far from the ordinary. It is. And many people have trouble accepting it. But it is my story, my experiences, my reality. And I’ve recently gained the unshakeable courage to tell it. By sharing, I know I will give courage, faith and inspiration to others who have stories to tell, or who are looking for more clarity in their life.

At church on Sunday the pastor asked that those who are fearful of fulfilling the task that they feel is calling them to come forward for prayer. I was absolutely amazed that half the congregation came to the front. I didn’t realize that there are many who had the same lack of clarity that held me back, along with the fear of moving forward.

I’m sharing my story twice in the month of November. You can listen to it on Thursday, November 2 at 5:00 pm PDT / 8:00 pm EDT on the ‘Beyond the Ordinary’ show. You can register for this free call at
